The Innovation Transfer Network is bringing the world of information technology to Lancaster this month.

Plug In To The Information Technology Sector,” a full-day IT conference and networking event, is scheduled for March 23 at Liberty Place.

“It will be a day of speakers and breakout sessions on a whole array of topics related to IT,” said ITN director of operations Jill Edwards, who also serves as executive director of the Ben Franklin Venture Investment Forum. “We’re inviting faculty and students, as well as business people and investors to this day of IT and IT-related products. They’ll see the state of the market, what’s state-of-the-art and some of the new work that’s being done in the field.”

One breakout session will feature the introduction of PA STEM-UP (“Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics University Partnership”), a new program dedicated to recruiting, retaining and advancing female academics in science and technology fields. The conversation is led by Shippensburg University, in collaboration with Elizabethtown College, Harrisburg University and ITN.

The conference is free, but pre-registration is required. Attendees should provide their name, title, company, college or university, phone number and email address to Yvonne Dunst at itnwk@psu.edu, or 717-948-6455.
