Atlas Biotech

What They Do

Atlas Biotech is developing the next generation of drug discovery platforms that measure how specific protein mutations affect drug function and efficacy. The company is currently applying its technology to cancer therapeutics, with the goal of improving both the development of new drugs and the use of existing therapies through personalized medicine.

The Challenge

After receiving a $2.4 million grant from the National Cancer Institute to develop and commercialize its technology, founder Josh Reynolds needed to quickly build a team, establish the company, and execute on an ambitious commercialization timeline.

How Ben Franklin Helped

Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central & Northern Pennsylvania invested $250,000 over two years to help Atlas Biotech grow its team, expand operations, and build its sales pipeline. Ben Franklin also provided early support with hiring, accounting, and business strategy as the company established its foundation. An additional $150,000 investment was recently approved, bringing Ben Franklin’s total investment to $400,000.
