Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania (BFTP-SEP) has approved nearly $1.7 million in funding for 11 early-stage companies.

“These 11 biotechnology, mobile technology and advanced manufacturing companies are indicative of the entrepreneurial diversity of our region” BFTP-SEP president and CEO RoseAnn B. Rosenthal said.

The companies approved for funding are:

Burst Online Entertainment, LLC: An independent video game and social network developer whose goal is to create a best-in-class social network gaming platform for the global gamer community.

CD Diagnostics, LLC: A developer of diagnostic tests that allow orthopedic surgeons and rheumatologists to establish the best treatment for their patients more quickly and less trial and error.

CloudMine: A platform that eliminates the need for mobile app developers to build expensive and time-consuming custom back-end solutions for their apps.

EyeIC, Inc.: A cutting-edge medical technology firm dedicated to commercializing imaging technologies for medical applications.

Tadpoles: A company that utilizes web-based and mobile app technology to link childcare and education providers to parents.

Holganix, LLC: The owner and marketer of the Holganix System, a turf health enhancer that is more effective and less expensive than the leading fertilizer products on the market.

Plehn Analytics Corp.: A compiler of unique economic and financial reports that enable clients in the financial services industry to make more informed decisions.

Prezacor, Inc.: A medical products company that is developing and marketing an innovative pain management technology used in patches applied to painful areas of the body.

QR Pharma, Inc.: A speciality pharmaceutical company founded to develop novel treatments for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative disorders.

RCD Technology, Inc.: The developer and manufacturer of high-performance radio-frequency identification tags tailored to specific, high-value, technically challenging applications.

Stabiliz Orthopaedics, LLC: A medical device company focused on developing, refining and bringing to market innovative and proprietary orthopedic medical devices.
