Morphotek Inc. Enters into a License Agreement with Centocor Ortho Biotech Inc.

Two Ben Franklin Alums Enter into Licensing Agreement

Morphotek Inc. entered into a license agreement Wednesday with Centocor Ortho Biotech Inc. covering the development and commercialization of an antibody that targets a specific antigen that is over-expressed in cancer patients with a variety of solid tumors.

Morphotek of Exton, Pa., has been granted an exclusive worldwide license from Centocor for the development, manufacture and sale of the antibody.

Centocor of Horsham, Pa., has conducted preclinical studies of the antibody.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Morphotek is a subsidiary of Eisai Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Eisai Corp. of North America in Woodcliff Lake, N.J. Centocor is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ
